Nicole Goes To Obama-Clinton Rally In Orlando

October 22, 2008

Last Saturday at about 1:00am my mom came in my room and told me that we have press credentials for the Obama-Clinton Rally in Orlando! I was so excited, but I was half asleep at the time. So after I dosed off for a little bit, I called my mom into my room again to make sure that we were going to rally and that I wasn’t just dreaming. She told me again, and I was super excited!

On Monday, we headed to Orlando at 10:30am. We were staying at the Marriott Hotel right across the street form the Amway Arena (which was were the rally was). When we walked over to the arena, the whole place was already packed! I was so happy we didn’t have to wait in that enormous line! So we went all the way around to the press side. We got our press tags, and went in! We were so lucky, because we got a table and chair so we could work on our laptops!

The greatest part was that we were so close! We were so close that we could almost touch Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama! We even got to stand on the stage where all the TV camera crews were! We had the best view!

Another part of the day that was awesome was when we got to meet Candy Crowley from CNN! Her camera crew was set up right in front of our table, so we were able to watch her do live reporting! We actually saw her report twice! One earlier in the day, and since were huge fans, we new that she always comes back at the end of the rallies. So we stayed and watched her do her 8:00pm report! She was so nice!

More video from the rally…

And, after the rally…

So, overall, we had such a Superly Duberly Wonderfully Fantastically Great time!

Here are some pictures from our day at the rally…

SIDE NOTE FROM MOM:

This exciting, once in a lifetime, mother and daughter adventure, had a very unusual ending.  I’ll bet, that there is no way you could ever guess how our day ended?

If you guessed that we talked to Candy Crowley again, after her 8pm live report for CNN, you would be right.  But, it didn’t end there.

If you guessed we took a short-cut walking back to our hotel, and needed to be rescued my a Knight in a shinning dirty huge yellow construction truck, you would be right.  But, you didn’t guess that, did you?

The Last Presidential Debate

October 16, 2008

Right now the last Presidential Debate is going on, and I have a few things I would like to say about it. First,  McCain is pulling a Palin by just talking about whatever he wants, and not answering the questions! Also that he’s interrupting Obama, and he is not looking at Obama when he is speaking.

Tomorrow I’ll have the full video of the debate. So make sure to check back.
